We should all be familiar with the TH9 Internet Base compilation first created by "Kara Heroes" clan and then Gadihh.com updated it from there. Looks like a redditor has continued to compile the list further but strictly TH8 war bases.

Hogs are tricky to learn at first but once you understand the mechanics and pathing, they are mad powerful at TH8 and TH9.
Most of our top TH8 hoggers have had lots of experience and plan out their attack very carefully. A Tesla or multiple springs can cause your hogs to divert from a plan and you have to adjust on the spot. Pre-planning your first heals is also an important factor, make sure they stayed healed through 2x4 areas (double giant bombs) and near Wiz towers (xbows for TH9). Another threat most new hoggers ignore is point defenses. They will dwindle the hp of your hogs very quickly if not planned properly. The JTJ clan has written up a very extensive guide on how hog pathing works and what goes into your attack plan when scouting. If you are TH8 and want to move up to Hogs, take some time to read this guide. https://jtjclan.wordpress.com/2015/05/16/th8-scouting-and-planning-hog-attacks-during-clan-war/ Their terminology is slightly different and a little more complex than ours so I advise to use this page if you are confused with the lingo... https://jtjclan.wordpress.com/slang/ Lv4-5 Dragon in war CC's is now a very common encounter at war. They can be tricky to deal with if you dont space out your troops correctly. Here is a video showcasing an efficient way to kill a CC dragon. One other effective way to deal with CC dragon is to lure and drop CC witches in a corner, backed up by wiz+barbs. Skellies/barbs should cause enough distraction to the drag for your wiz to take it out.
The leader of a popular Reddit clan "Reddit Omicron" posted a detailed analysis of one of their recent wars where players were making common mistakes or a lack of planning within their attacks. I've seen the same mistakes occur within our clan countless times from various players. This analysis was written mainly for TH9+ but also has good info for TH8 as well. He goes into detail on how to properly Hog at the TH9 level as well as proper KS (Kill Squad) technique. Here is the link as well as a couple main points I highly encourage our players to follow.. "Revealed Information
Why I'm talking about this There were members hitting bases a second time as if they had no clue where the traps were. Members repeating the same raid that failed before with no real changes. Members failing to 3* a base design that a different enemy had which was already 3*d. This is inexcusable. How it should be used Scout the bases surrounding your target for duplicate bases. Watch your clanmates' raids on any duplicate bases. If your target has been hit once before, watch the replay and plan accordingly. There is no excuse for not knowing where the traps are and what is in the CC. After a 1 star or better raid you should know the CC contents, tesla locations, and a pretty good idea of where giant bombs are. At that point, planning a 3 * hog raid is pretty easy. Or maybe you want to do a laloon raid ... thats fine. Either way, if you plan your cleanup raid with no regard for the information revealed by your clanmate, you might as well slap them in the face and crush keystone cans on your head continuously for 10 minutes. How it should NOT be used Do not look at revealed information and think, oh well I just need to do their raid better than them. Repeating a failed raid usually does not result in a different outcome. You need to change something about it in order to get a different result. The change might be small, but take great care to make it if you are repeating a raid and before you do this ask yourself .... now that I have all this information, is there a better way to approach this base? Cleanup Troops Why I'm talking about this This bit was requested from some RCS leaders who wish to link this post as a resource for their clans. While many raids do not specifically require cleanup troops, it is never a bad idea to bring them. How it should be used As a general rule, you should take no more than 10 camp space worth of cleanup troops. For ground raids, this might be a pair of wizards and a couple archers or gobs. For air raids, this would be the infamous pocket loon or a couple of minions. It is best to place cleanup troops after you drop your last spell. Skilled players will be able to weave these cleanup troops in sooner, but it is far more important to make sure your spells are on point than it is to deploy cleanup troops. How it should NOT be used Do not go into an attack without a sense of where your troops are going to end up on the base. Be wary of corner buildings or trash buildings that are not eliminated during your funnel that might be left over and cost you the 3* due to time. Do not deploy cleanup wiz on a path where they could get picked off by point defenses. Do not deploy cleanup loons until all the defenses are down. " Fear not TH9s! We can 2* TH10s just like the big dogs. Clan "Reddit Force" lays out a pretty easy GoWiWi variant to take down that Townhall and get a 50%. Note: Results may vary vs a strong TH10. Stoned GiWiWi: 3 Golems, 10-12 Giants, 3-4 Witches, 8-10 Wiz, 4-8 Wbs Spells: 2 Rage, 1 Jump, 1 Heal, 1 Poison BONUS TH10 vs TH10: If you are a TH10 in need of some help getting those 2*s vs discos, look no further than one of your newest tools: Earthquake Spell. With the addition of the Poison spell, handling war cc troops with the standard witch/wiz/arch comp has been a breeze. Lv 1 still manages to take these troops down with one drop but This also causes concern with our own defensive war castles. TH8s could use witch in their CCs as their skeletons could still ruin a drag raid. Also consider Drag+Loon or Drag+Wiz combo. TH9s have a little more room to play with so consider multiple Valks, Loons, Drag and even Giants. Remember, it's all about stalling the enemy attack force. Whatever you choose make sure it fits with what comps you have been getting attacked with. Hope this helps in preparing us for the incoming barrage of Poison spells at war. #ReignVillainy Ct I thought it would be a good idea to revive our blog to share important game updates, strategies and general war info to the clan other than clan chat or the war room. To keep it short-n-sweet, I wont go in-depth here. I'll share links, guides, videos, etc To keep you clashing the best way possible. Stay tuned for more goodness.
